“Last week, before the Michigan and South Carolina Primaries, Rasmussen Reports polling found essentially a four-way tie for the lead in Florida. However, Mike Huckabee has slipped to 13% in the current poll. A week ago, he was the top choice for 17%”
Other highlights of the poll show that Romney leads among conservative voters at 28% with Giuliani in a distant second at 18%. It is also notable how quickly Mike Huckabee has slipped. This most current poll has him in a distant 4th place, slipping considerably. Among Huckabee’s strongest voter base, evangelical voters, Romney has nearly matched Huckabee.
The poll also highlights that only 54% are “certain” of how they are going to vote. “Among those who are “certain” how they will vote, Romney is the pick for 25%, Giuliani 24%, and McCain 17%. “
Winning the Michigan primary, winning the Nevada caucus and showing strong leadership and experience in economic issues Mitt Romney is definitely getting his message of change, conservative family values and experience of successful leadership out to the people and it very well may be showing in the polls.

Mitt is going to take Florida. With Big Fred bowing out and the economic news, Mitt is going to get a huge swell of support. I can just imagine all those retired people watching their 401K's evaporate this week. The economy is the number one issue, and only Romney has any credibility to address.
The only reason McCain has any support is because of his perceived military service. He is terribly divisive to republicans and is nothing more than a grumpy old "go-with-the-flow" Washington beaurocrat.
With Fred Thompson dropping out Romney is the only true conservative left, he is bound to attract Thompson supporters;.
Well said, HTS.
Shitstains McCain grumped about everything right along with the dems, and then when he saw opportunity for his benifit he jumped on the coattails of the Iraq surge as if he authored it.
Shitstains McCain is a true democrat in every sense.
