Ann Coulter's Take on the Election

Ann wrote some interesting things yesterday. I tend to agree with her, but caution......Ann is not for the thin-skinned or sensitive type. She makes her living using free speech to raise controversy and speak her mind, so I find her at worst, entertaining. The FEMA statement you'll find in her article is a shocker, but I'm a Floridian...........and I'm not blind; I would never be so bold to state it the way she did, but then again, I'm not Ann Coulter.

Here's a sample (click on the title below to read the entire article).

"I've been casually taking swipes at Mitt Romney for the past year based on the assumption that, in the end, Republicans would choose him as our nominee. My thinking was that Romney would be our nominee because he is manifestly the best candidate.

"I had no idea that Republican voters in Iowa and New Hampshire planned to do absolutely zero research on the candidates and vote on the basis of random impulses.

"Dear Republicans: Please do one-tenth as much research before casting a vote in a presidential election as you do before buying a new car."

Ann Coulter may be shockingly clear to most but one must realize the depth of her intellect and cut her some slack. Look beyond the sharpness of her commentary to the substance of the words - it is difficult at times for those whose intellect rises to higher levels to have the patience to instruct and guide those at a different level. They may take longer to recognize what she does so quickly but nevertheless, she could achieve a greater level of satisfaction and accomplish more for what she believes in if she would be more patient and tolerant.

That being said, she makes good points - anyone who has observed and listened to Governor Romney or taken the time to learn about his life and accomplishments could not possibly support any other candidate in this race. Not claiming to be perfect, but admitting that life and his experiences have allowed him to alter his positions on critical issues such as pro life, he brings a higher standard to the Presidency in EVERY regard - personal and professional accomplishment and political and executive leadership experience. Mitt Romney does not need us - we need Mitt Romney.
